You are not forsaken
My Lord My Lord Why Have You Forsaken me
Eli, Eli, lemana shabakthani
A late Aramaic Bible researcher named George Lamsa claimed that the traditional "forsaken" interpretation is a mistake in the Aramaic scribing that was transferred to later transcriptions. Lamsa claimed that "the correct translation from Aramaic should be "Eli, Eli, lemana shabakthani" or "My God, my God, for this [purpose] I was spared!" or "...for such a purpose have you kept me!") According to Lamsa's translation, that rather than a "loss of faith" Christ meant, to say "so this is my destiny."
He had lived in unbroken fellowship with God, and to be forsaken was a new grief to him. He had never known what the dark was till then: his life had been lived in the light of God... His fellowship with the Father was of the highest, deepest, fullest order; and what must the loss of it have been? He was never never seperated from The Father. He walked with him, cried with him,he felt him. When his soul was leaving his body he knew that he would not be able to feel his father. This is why he cried out.
Some people very wrongly take this quote to be a sign of desperation on our Lord's part in His hour of trial .

Most people feel abandonment during their lifetime, and there are certain normal feelings that go with feeling abandoned or deserted. Those feelings are often sadness, disappoint, anger, and even rage. These feelings are all normal and human. …Such feelings are often directed at the person who abandoned you.
Sometimes, life can be incredibly hard. In the worst and darkest day of human history, Jesus still clung to God with both hands and held onto God. We are to cling to God in our darkest days.
And this is for you today – you have not been forsaken. Jesus was not forsaken, and neither are you. You have not been abandoned. You have not been forsaken, you are not being forsaken now, and you will never be forsaken.
