A Powerful way to Start your Day

Image
It only takes five minutes to start your day with clearing, affirmative prayer to set the intentions for your day and for your life. The affirmations below, when read slowly and thoughtfully, help release any energy that does not contribute to your highest good, opening the way for greater blessings. Read these prayers aloud, pausing after each affirmation to breathe and take the awareness into your heart. When you reach number six, share out loud your fondest hopes, desires or intentions: I realize there is only One Presence and One Power active in my life and in my world now. 1.I AM AWARE AND AWAKE. (Pause, breathe, take into your heart.) Knowing limited thinking and resistance block my awareness of God, I shed and release all false beliefs. 2.I AM CLEAR. (Pause, breathe, take into your heart.) I forgive myself and others who appear to have harmed me, releasing all blame and attachment to negative energy that are not for my highest and greatest good. 3.I AM FREE. (Pau

The Angel-A Tribute to Mothers- 2

Image
THE ANGEL Once upon a time there was a child ready to be born. One day he asked God: "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?" God replied "Among the many angels, I have chosen one especially for you. She will be waiting for you and will take care of you." The child said "But here in Heaven, I don't do anything but sing and smile and that's enough for me to be happy." God said "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you every day. You will feel your angel's love and be happy." The child asked "How am I going to understand when people talk to me, if don't know the language they speak?" "Your angel will teach you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak", God replied. "What am I going to do when I want to talk to you?&quo

A Tribute To Mothers,Wives and Womanhood

Image
Woman Woman was made from the rib of man. She was not created from his head to top him, nor from his feet to be stepped upon. She was made from his side to be equal to him, from beneath his arms to be protected by him, near his heart to be loved by him. The Mother's Watch She never closed her eyes in sleep 'til we were all in bed. On party nights 'til we came home she often sat and read. We little tho't about it then, when we were young and gay, how much Mother worried when we children were away. We only knew she never slept when we were out at night and that she waited just to know we'd all come home all right. Why sometimes when we'd stay away 'til one or two or three, it seemed to us that Mother heard the turning of the key. For always when we'd step inside she'd call and we'd reply. But we were all too young back then to really understand just why. Until the last one had returned she always kept a light, for Mother couldn't sl

When God Prays

Image
Have you ever wondered what kind of prayer God would ever pray? You heard it right, I am talking about God’s prayer, and you’re definitely not reading an article from an atheist, but from a sinner who truly believes in the Living God. I believe in God. I believe He listens to our every prayer. But the real question is, do we ever listen when God prays? My beloved, why do you cry? Why do you fill your heart with gloom and hopelessness? Why do you hide from me? Why do you bear this burden that is not yours? Was the night so long you never thought it would surrender to another sunrise? Was the winter too cold you never thought you could feel warm ever again? I am deeply troubled with your troubles. I am utterly concerned that I could not sleep. I know your wounds for they are mine as well. I know your tears and I would like to take them away. No reply. My beloved, it’s been so long since I heard your voice; so long since you poured out your heart to me. How I long to hear them on

The Greatest Spiritual Teachers on Earth are Children

Image
My dear  today I realised that if you want to see God just look at a child. Our heavenly father wants each one of us to be like a child .Just look at how would a child come to God? With no reservations, no preconceived fears or doubts. He wants us to go to him the same way. " Looking up" to Him -- from a child's perspective. He is big and I am little. He is strong. I am weak. He will hold me in His arms. He will hold my hand. He will know what to do. . . . Ready to listen and to ask questions, but not to express her views or to argue with Him about His views. Giving Him the responsibility of caring for her. Indeed, expecting Him to care for her. Trusting Him to care for her Reaching out to touch Him. Holding His hand for security and comfort. Resting in His lap. Putting her arms around His neck. Being excited to see Him and be with Him. Knowing that He is wiser than she is. Knowing that He is stronger than she is. I have often thought that the ti

I Asked God

Image
I asked God to take away my pain. God said, No. It is not for me to take away, but for you to give up. I asked God to grant me patience. God said, No. Patience is a by-product of tribulations; it isn't granted, it is earned. I asked God to give me happiness. God said, No. I give you blessings. Happiness is up to you. I asked God to spare me pain. God said, No. Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to me. I asked God to make my spirit grow. God said, No. You must grow on your own, but I will prune you to make you fruitful. I asked for all things that I might enjoy life. God said, No. I will give you life so that you might enjoy all things. I asked God to help me LOVE others, as much as He loves me. God said...Ahhhh, finally you have the idea.

I am NOT psychiatrist. I am simply one who has experienced depression first hand. I am, in fact, one, who with God’s help has learned from the experience: you can have hope in the midst of it! To some people depression is a time of feeling low and discouraged. While this is an accurate description, it doesn’t necessarily describe all the other feelings that can be part of depression. I will share with you what my experience was. You feel desperate and that you are losing control of your life. It is a space filled with darkness, fear, despair, and panic. Your thought world profoundly impacts your physical life. You feel as if time is racing or you are moving in slow motion. Your world and activities appear insurmountable and life can feel like a bottomless pit. There are overwhelming feelings of isolation and you feel disconnected from others. You feel trapped with no way to escape. You hate yourself for feeling like this and feel tremendous shame and guilt. How do

When God is Silent

Image
“I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope” (Psalm 130: 5). Have you wondered what God is doing when you can’t see him? Have you ever felt that He is too busy to answer your cry for help? Have you felt forgotten in this crazy world? We all feel that way at times. For whatever reason, sometimes, God chooses to be silent. His purpose is not to punish you. He is not too busy. Don’t for a second believe the lie that He may have forgotten you. The silence may be what pushes us to dig deeper, like a growing plant in search of water. It could be that the answers are before our eyes, but we are too human to see what God wants us to see. Maybe we are looking with our eyes instead of our heart. It might not be time for God to reveal what he has for you. It’s not easy to wait, especially when God is silent, but experience tells us that it will be worth it. We know that our impatience will only get in the way of what he plans to do with us. We can try to hurry

I have learnt

Image
I've learned that it isn't enough to be forgiven by others, sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.  I've learned that no matter how bad your heart is broken, the world will not stop for your grief.   I've learned that background and circumstances might have influenced who you are, but we are responsible for who we've become.   I've learned that you can't make someone love you, all you can do is be someone who can be loved.   I've learned that no matter how old or wise you think you are, life never stops teaching.

Children can lead us

Image
- By Example I lead, and I am led by example. We may not always be aware that little ones are paying attention to us, learning how to love, care, and trust. Our acts of kindness toward children are gifts from our hearts. Praying with children demonstrates our faith and an expectation of good. And often, it is the children within our midst who lead us by example. Children know without question that God answers every prayer. Children see majesty in even the most minute elements of the world: the varieties and aromas of flowers, the colors in a rainbow, the splendor of a sunrise. As adults we lead by example. Let us also take the time to let our children be our teachers and guides. "Remember your leaders, those who spoke the word of God to you; consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith."--Hebrews 13:7

Looking through the eyes of a Child

Dear God, I do not think anybody could be a better God. Well I just want you to know but I am not saying that just because you are God."   "God, I would like to live 900 years like the guy in the Bible." Love,  "You don't have to worry about me. I always look both ways."  "We read Thos. Edison made light. But in Sun. school they said you did it. So I bet he stoled your idea. "Dear God, I think about you sometimes even when I'm not praying."  "Dear God, Instead of letting people die and having to make new ones why don't you just keep the ones you got now? "Dear God, In Bible times did they really talk that fancy?" Jennifer "Dear God, Thank you for the baby brother but what I prayed for was a puppy." Joyce "Dear God, Maybe Cain and Abel would not kill each other so much if they had their own rooms. It works with my brother."  "Dear God, Are you really invisible o

There are things that money can't buy

Image
There are some things that money cannot buy! There are things that can be bought with money—but there are some things that money cannot buy! With money—we may build a house, and adorn and furnish it. But money cannot buy home happiness, and the sweetness, comfort, and refinement which make true home life! With money—we may purchase food and clothing, coal for the fire, and luxuries for physical enjoyment. But money cannot buy . . . fine character, moral beauty, a gentle spirit, peace in the heart, or any of the elements which make up a noble personality!

It All Depends on the way You Look At Things

Image
Rich Or Poor - How Rich Are You? It All Depends on the way You Look At Things One day a rich father took his son on a trip to the country with the firm purpose to show him how poor people can be. They spent a day and a night on the farm of a very poor family. When they got back from their trip the father asked his son, "How was the trip?" "Very good Dad!" "Did you see how poor people can be?" the father asked. "Yeah!" "And what did you learn?" The son answered, "I saw that we have a dog at home, and they have four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of the garden, they have a creek that has no end.We have imported lamps in the garden, they have the stars. Our patio reaches to the front yard, they have a whole horizon." When the little boy was finishing, his father was speechless. His son added,  "Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are!"

A true story of Forgiveness and Agape Love

Image
Help me,” with her eyes tight shut. “Help me to love this girl, as if she were part of Karl come home. I prayed for him to come back. Now he has—in his two little daughters and in this gentle girl that he loved. Help me, God, to know that.” My dear sisters today I would like to share an inspirational story about Christ like forgiveness and Love. I pray that this story will inspire you . Karl and Edith Taylor lived in a small apartment in Waltham, Massachusetts. They lived happily for 23 years and they loved each other very much. Karl was a government warehouse worker. In February 1950 the government sent Karl to Okinawa, Japan for a few months to work in a warehouse there. Although he was in the habit of sending to his wife some small gifts and postcards wherever he was sent to work, a short time after Karl went to Okinawa, hardly any postcards or gifts reached her. Also his assignment, which was supposed to have been only for a few months, got extended and extended mysteriously. E

Empty me Totally My Lord

Image
Before dying to myself I totally repented for all the sins that I did knowingly and unknowingly. It was not as if I wanted to repent but I was made to repent by the spirit of god. Oh! when you go through this process and start remembering everything that you it will  shock you to know how many people you have hurt in the past. As you are taken back in time you will be made to remember very hidden secret  and sin. The Lord will break you down before he builds you up.  A true Child of God cannot continue to habitually live a lifestyle of sin; it is impossible! In fact, if someone claims to be a Child of God, yet continues to habitually continue in sin, it is more than likely they were never genuinely born again in the first place. My dear sisters there is a difference between regret and repentance. Regret happens when you are caught; repentance happens when you are convicted.  You see, regret cries tears, repentance bears fruit .Regret is driven by what others will think; repenta

Characteristics of a Meek and Quiet Spirit,

~ Characteristics of a Meek and Quiet Spirit, Meekness is calm confidence, settled assurance, and rest of the soul. It is the tranquil stillness of a heart that is at rest. It is the place of peace. Meekness springs from a heart of humility, radiating the fragrance of Christ. The meek will be at rest in the storms of life … (Matthew 11:28–30; Psalm 37:7; Hebrews 4:1–11) The fretful will be fearful in the storms of life … (Mark 4:35–41; Jeremiah 50:6) The meek will react to circumstances with peaceful trust … (Isaiah 26:3–4) The fretful will attempt to manipulate individuals or circumstances … (James 4:1–3; Proverbs 7:21) The meek will make life choices based on Scriptural principles … (Psalm 119:105) The fretful will make life choices based on emotions or fleeting passions of the moment … (James 3:13–18; Proverbs 19:16) The meek woman’s confidence is in the security of the truths of Scripture and the faithfulness of God … (Proverbs 3:26, 14:26; Psalm 1
